Life’s a Big, Big, Blah! (^^;)

yesterday, i went to trinoma to buy a earphone and a protective cover for my iPod. it’s my first time to have an ipod so i want to have a great experience with it. that’s when i decided to invest on a headset since it’s former headset got nibbled by a dog
i tried to look first for a headset with mic so that i could use it for pc and for the ipod. seemed like a good idea at first but their design just sucked with the mic dangling on the headset with no use at all. so i looked more on the music headset with those noice cancelling capabilities, too bad they came up pretty expensive. and they looked really bulky. trust me, it’s really hard in choosing one.

after days fo relentless search, i got this philips headphone worth thousand bucks plus. at first, i was excited to buy the earphone ‘coz of its great features. but in the end, i’d just realized that no matter how cool its design and features, it’s still an earphone. that’s when i got to see its shortcomings and bad flaws that i wanted to return the whole set and just ask for a refund. but later that night, i got convinced that i’m satisfied with what i’ve bought. that’s when i’ve started to see good pros on what i’ve brought. maybe it’s my mindset to make me feel better about it. and now, i’m really loving it.

i was talking to edmon last night about this purchase of mine. he said that it’s because it spent it with my own money that’s why i feel like this about what i’ve bought. he got a point.

now as i write this, it made me realize that we all went to this particular scenario…

1. excitement kicks in about something. maybe because you’re expecting something about it. you’re giving your effort through it

2. when in you’re that something, the excitement fades away. sometimes, the thing you’re expecting ‘aint that good

3. then in comes regret. the bigger the expectation/ effort/ sacrifice, the deeper the regret.

and now for the twist, what would it be?

acceptance to take things as it is and to love it with all it’s imperfect self?

or

denial that you’ll feel bad about it and to curse it through all eternity.

well, i accepted the fact that i didn’t got my perfect headset, but this one sure served it’s purpose in life, to provide me with good music plus the comfort to the ears.

and the best part of it, i got a free silicon case!
hey, i’m now conviced that investing in an Ipod ain’t that bad after all
